Yeah, Ken your are right. Danaher and Stanley own so many of the "old" lines, not to mention all of the offshore holdings. They can play all kinds of shell games to disguise who is really producing the tools, i.e. forge the blanks here, finish them there, package them somewhere else, etc.
I wouldn't be suprised if it turned out that the two of them controlled the sourcing for most brands being sold in the US, except of course Snap-On and their derivatives.
