However, the key to making it work is to have two identical and much smaller CFM carburetors than stock, and the ability to synchronize them.
If I were to ever begin to breathe primarily though the mouth and insisted on using dual carbs, I would first make sure to install a T5 and the appropriate rear axle gears in order to keep the engine very near the optimal operational RPM for a Stovebolt engine in all 5 gears so that when you shift and step on the go pedal, the engine actually goes right away. That is the beauty of what the T5 with appropriate gearing does for a Stovebolt engine even without any other modifications.
