After highschool, I was in a car club with a guy that had a 53 Chev coup with a 270 GMC engine mounting five (5) Stromberg 97 carbs on a ram-log manifold and tube headers. It had a hot cam and was "built to the hilt." He won a lot of grudge-match money street racing. 57 Chevs with a 283 power pack were no match at all. How many CFM does a Stromberg 97 flow?
