If the #1 cylinder is at TDC (per the BB) of the compression stroke and if the rotor in the distributor is pointing at the number 1 plug wire (no matter what o'clock the wire is plugged into) and if the order of the plug wires on the distributor is 153624, look elsewhere for your problem.
