Given that you can clear the stumble by squirting additional fuel, I’m a little skeptical that ignition is to blame here. And I say that as someone who has learned more than once, that it’s almost never the carb.
Perhaps the add’l fuel can cover up an underlying ignition problem. Jerry might have to weigh in there.
We have a lot of forum members in NC. Would be nice if someone could loan you a different carb just to bolt on and see what happens. I would, if I were closer. A pressure/volume test of your fuel pump might be a next logical step.
