When installing my 390 carb, I just mounted mine with the throttle linkage that "lined-up th' best" ; and things have been very good . . . . and very "simple" .
With that said ('simple' ) , I had my Holley carb 'sitting in my shop for about 3 years' , before installing it. Why - - mostly because I did not want too "Mickey M" my carb linkage . . . . (and, my car was running very good, with even my
1 bbl carb.
Now , like WOW , those 390 carbs have really "blasted off" (price wise - on Summit) .
Also, I may have gotten a good carb = as I have installed it 'right outa th' box' , and running really good.
