Mark - - no I don't see / have any issues ; and I do run my L 6 (kinda) like i 'stold-it' .
Then, Larry Pate , runs his 64 Chevy II (and 3 carbs - on his 250 L 6) , facing forward. He has done test - - running in both directions : says that he can't tell any difference . (and, he knows alot more , than me). He's at ; T6Racing.com
I do know some guys, that face their 4bbl carbs = sideways . But for me , front too back , sure made hooking up the throttle kinkage very easy .
Sometimes , I just like "EASY" .
