Run a 2 gal sample of gas from the fuel line. Strain it through a cotton flannel shirt (got to be 100% cotton flannel... t shirt does'nt work.) If there is water in the gas then it will remain in the shirt when the gas strains out. Works every time. Then you can check "water in the gas" off your list.
