Hello,
I am making progress on my 1954 3100 S10 Conversion. I am using the stock hydramatic steering column with stock shift lever. I will swap out the stock indicator with a modern indicator. But I can’t figure out how to connect the column shifter to the tranny linkage.
Has anyone used the stock 54 shifter plate (bolts on top of the end of steering column, with shift rod running thru it) to connect the tranny linkage to the column shifter?
I’m beginning to understand why aftermarket columns with column shifter are used.
