What Otto said. I picked up my diesel from the shop after they put a transmission in it, and heard a sound i was sure was coming from the passenger door when I fired it up. After moving around a bit, I found the source. Turns out the mechanic had failed to secure the shifter boot to the floor, and the noise was coming thru the opening.
