One of the old threads I was reading, mentioned re-magnetizing the speedometer. Is that something that should be done as of preventative medicine while I have things apart? Or only if I have a known issue?
FWIW, once I cleaned and lubed the mechanism, what’s left of the needle stays steady and the works run nearly silent.
