Thank you as well, Barnfind. I did take a look under the floorboards, the floormat, the frame and in the fender wells. There is nothing but surface rust visible, and the serial indicated is was built in Oakland, so it may well be a west coast lifer. It does have an interesting band of metal bolted/riveted to the bottom of the front fenders at the lower rear, which I have not seen in other photos (and they don't show up in mine). I am assuming there may be some rot there. I was previously hunting for a squarebody truck, and the wife fell in love with this, which allows the pocket book to open faster and wider, so I'm doing my best to research!
