I meant that you could measure voltage at the R terminal. I did not mean that the R terminal post was supplying voltage. The voltage at the R terminal post is actually supplied through the ignition circuit wire coming from the key switch. Since those wires are directly connected to the R terminal, a voltage could be measured from the R terminal to any common ground.
