Lugnutz 'Bolter L Joined: Sep 2011 Posts: 2,951 South Carolina	My coil has 1.9 ohms and the ballast resistor has 1.0 ohms. Total = 2.9 ohms. I have it wired to feed 12 V during start up and then current through the ballast resistor when the engine is running. Study the diagram carefully. Voltage to the coil is fed from the R terminal on the starter and bypasses the ballast resistor.
