Thank you O, that threaded port does have a slight vacuum at it but just enough that I can feel it. With it running I can plug it then release it with no noticeable change to the engine.
I’ll take better pictures tomorrow & explain what I have better.
Also try to ID the carburetor itself. Probably a cheap off brand but it is identical to the one that was on it when I bought the truck about 15 years ago. I replaced it about 2 years ago.
