Got the manifolds today I plan to use on the 261.

Raises a question about my carb. It measures 1 9/16" across the fuel bowl opening (pics attached). According to Deve's Venerable 261 page it's a 235 carb but will work on the 261. The throttle body measures 1 1/2" across, with mounting holes only 2 5/8" apart center to center. Problem is, manifold studs are 2 15/16" apart.

Dumb question...does this carb have the wrong throttle body? Kinda surprising a 216 throttle body would fit a 235 carb. There's not enough metal to widen holes to 2 15/16," so I won't attempt to do that. Maybe it won't be difficult to find the correct throttle body but ya never know. Would seem to be the thing to do. Or just get another carb.
