Several years ago I talked to a guy that was selling his beautiful $50K+ 1954 Chevy truck. He had it built with quality parts. He showed me his receipts. He said the number of parts installed seemed endless and the cost was always high. I try to warn people that properly redoing a classic truck requires deep pockets and a lot of research/pre-planning.
The sound of a cat, when someone steps on it's tail, comes to mind when people comment on the cost Steele's rubber products. The low cost option is to buy Asian made rubber. The previous owner of my truck had the windshield installed with this rubber. Today I have to use roofing flash sealant to patch the cracks when they show up. The repair is a little obvious (more shine) but it keeps the water from rusting the metal below.
"Adding CFM to a truck will only help at engine speeds you don't want to use." "I found there was nothing to gain beyond 400 CFM."
