No manifolds at all?
Too many old stories and wives tails about that subject.
Lets remember the very short exhaust stacks on the old Allison and Merlin equipped aircraft of WW2 days.
A P38 shutting down one of the engines at 30,000 feet where is is very cold, didn't seem to have any problems.
So you are just fine running with no manifold at all, it may make a mess if it is installed in the truck though.
