Most fuel pumps this old are rebuildable.
IF THE CASTING IS DECENT: made in USA quality fuel pump repair kits are available from "Then and Now Automobile"; there is no need to purchase a brand new off-shore-made pump.
And even though I have high performance, high pressure electric pumps on both my old vehicles (both have carburetors that I set up for the pressure), I still don't generally like electric pumps. But one of my vehicles has two 625 CFM, and the other a single 850 CFM; and requires the volume.
