When I was 18 I took the truck to a mechanic to try get it tuned properly. I didn't have the skills, and the internet was just coming into existence. The mechanic flat out told me to go find an old farmer.

So I asked my grandfather, which I should have done in the first place. He told me it's tuned properly when I could start out in third gear. Pretty simplistic.

I'll post results when it's done, but will be about a year's time.
Now that is perfect "farmer logic." I like it!
Woe is a man who has not spent considerable time working with a long time farmer. With what they are up against on a daily basis when time is greatly limited, miracles happen.
