I find that I squint a lot, and blink rapidly to avoid debris, but then, I am a rebel. That's why God gave us two eyes isn't it?
I used to do that too. Until I got a chunk of metal in my eye, had to look like a pirate for two weeks while being the subject of jokes and ridicule by my wife and kids.
