I working on a 1953 6400 series. I have rebuilt a 235 engine from 1961. At least I think that is correct. I know it is a 235, and the numbers on the block make me think it was built in 1961. This business with the oil filter has me confused. I always thought a filter was a filter, but that doesn't seem to be the case. My main concern at this point is to be certain I don't put something on it that will damage the engine. It would be better to have no filter, than to have one that slowed down the supply of oil. If I don't want a "full flow", what do I want? I think the filter holder I have came off a 6000 series. I don't know the year, but it was before 1954 and after 1947. Of course considering the things people did to keep these old trucks running, it is possible it is from another truck. Thanks Allen
