I needed an oil filter for my truck, and finally found one in a local scrap yard. It is a monster thing, 11 inches high, and 5 inches across at the top. I think it will bolt to the fender where the missing one was, so it should work. My question is. What type filter do I need for this thing. Obviously it is the old style that drops in, but beyond that what do I tell the counterman at the auto supply store? I am using a motor that I believe was built in 1961. I have heard some talk about "full flow" filters. Whats that? Do I need one? The connection at the top of the filter is marked "inlet". I assume I would connect this to the connection on the motor that has two fittings. One for an oil line, and one for the oil pressure gauge. Does that seem correct? Is it possible to buy a kit of some kind that will let me convert to a modern spin on filter? Thank you. Allen
