The 12-71 detroits were popular with the truck pullers... until the 1150 cummins took over. I saw a big gmc gas for the first time last weekend at a car show. I couldn't tell what size it was, 426 or 503 cubic inch. The owner only knew that it was ~180HP. Anyone out there have one of the big gmc gas engines?
