Some time back I saw a 53 6400 that had a 454 with a 5 speed with a 2 speed rear end. The frame and the body were 53 but everything else was late model. It looked really slick with a slide back bed for hauling vehicles. He said it was cheaper than buying new, a lot more fun, cheaper registration and insurance and he didn't have to fool with the annual Az emission testing. Redcoat
