Different from previous '58 283 I've seen such as oil dipstick on the right instead of the left. also some more modern emission equipment. I looked up some engine I.D. numbers on the Americanclassic.com site mentioned in previous postings. The stampings on the front right side of the block are large figures -VO712TCK and small print 1CF720419. The only thing I can match up are the CF for some years about 1960 and that indicates a 283. Does anyone know if that's correct and what all the other numbers and letters mean? | | |
