I've got a 230 stashed away that's going to get the "go fast" treatment, but it's not headed for a truck. Several years ago someone gave me a partially-finished "Excalibur" roadster project, the fiberglass-body kit car that looks like a mid-1930's Mercedes. I'm planning to install a V8 pattern bell housing that will accommodate any GM engine from a Mercruiser 4 cylinder to a 454 big block V8. The short stroke 230 I-6 will probably run 6K RPM or more with the head work, cam, and carburetion I'm planning to use. It won't have enough torque to twist the cap off a wine bottle, but it will probably sound like a bumblebee on steroids when it's wound up!
