I’ll join the fun. I was thinking about this the other day.

Inline 6s with Siamesed ports have some significant limitations. Most of the typical stuff that backyard hot rodders do is sometimes applicable to SBCs but not very applicable to the 235 and later 230/250/292.

However, rather than trying to make one of these engines into something it’s not (power at higher RPM)....can a guy optimize/improve what they are already good at?(decent power and torque down low)

And if so, what would those mods be?

Edit: I’m not supposing these hypothetical “work to its natural strength” mods will be worth the time/ money/ effort. Just trying to understand what gains are even possible.
