My new question: Original paint type. I've read about the colors and seen the paints offered in the Jimmy Carter catalog but my truck refurbishment contractor wants to paint it in the "newest" type of paint he says will last forever and has come along way since the 1950's. I'm not sure what to tell him. Any ideas? It's a historical fire truck and I want it to look like it did in 1951 but I do not want to waste the chance to get the best restoration job on it. Help again...
