You can wire up the ammeter or you can leave it alone and install a voltmeter in various places depending on how original you are going, and your generation and amp draw updates. Decide on what you want to do and advise.
When you say "wire up the ammeter", are you saying that I could do this safely and get it to work? If so, that is what I would prefer. Otherwise, I would like to install a voltmeter in the same location that the ammeter gauge currently is.
It's probably not that big of a deal, but I would really like to have all of my gauges working, having a dead one just sitting there seems to bum me out.
