The answer will depend on these answers:
1. What alternator do you have? Stock? Do you have a voltage regulator? If not stock, what amp rating?
I have an internally regulated Alternator, not stock, I couldn't locate an amp rating, but it's definitely newer. I don't have a voltage regulator as far as I know.
2. What, if any, non stock electrical items and lights to you have or will have? Radio updates, amplifiers, A/C, halogen, etc.
Nothing non-stock as far as electrical goes
3. What level of experience do you have with auto electrical?
I'm basically a first timer, I have wired a '25 Chevy, but really not much to wire there
4. What phase of the harness install are you at? What is done and what is not done?
I've wired the front lights, engine bay, rear lights, and in cab the heater, wiper, fuel sending unit and interior cab light. Mostly complete other than getting the dash back together.
5. What motor in truck?
1974 I6 250
6. Did you have all gauges working before deciding to do a new harness?
no, I did have the cluster with idiot lights, purchased the cluster with gauges after I purchased the AAW kit
