The bellhousing I'm thinking of has the clutch throwout fork window on the passenger's side, and is used with the hydraulic master cylinder that combines brake and clutch functions in the same casting. I'm not sure that it was used as late as 1966. Does your 305 have a hydraulic clutch? That's the only V8 bell housing I can remember that was used with hydraulic linkage. If you have a regular manual clutch setup, any cast iron V8 bellhousing from the mid 1970's with the angled motor mounts should mate the transmission to the engine. You might have to get creative with some custom clutch linkage.
