With rear gears that high and a 1:1 (direct drive) SM-465 I'm not sure the 235 will be up to the task.
Originally that truck would have had 4.10 rear with 1:1 transmission and the 235 worked well. Essentially the only thing you've changed is the rear to 3.05 and now the engine is way underpowered.
