I use a simple, very effective method similar to Jon's- - - - -a vibrator cleaner once used to polish firearm brass for reloading, plus a very hot solution of Trisodium Phosphate (concrete cleaner) and water. I adapted a big stainless steel stock pot with a glass lid to the vibrator and submerge the disassembled carburetor in the hot liquid- - - - -just below boiling, for several minutes at a time before changing to a fresh batch of hot liquid. Once the gunk is loosened up, I use massive volumes of high pressure air to clean the passageways.
