I am using the Dawn liquid and water boiling technique described above. It is working. I then tried Simple Green. It does clean better but it turned the carb body a darker color. I'm going to continue with just the Dawn hoping it will undo whatever reaction took place. Anybody have an explanation of the discoloration? Maybe because I also had a few brass parts in there too?
