Rebuilding the BW OD transmission, which is not a BW transmission in this case. It's another SM318 with the hole drilled in the back of the case, and the BW tailshaft installed. It was a fight getting the tailshaft on, but Pop finally remembered putting into gear to be able to get the output shaft to turn, to get the rear cam bearings to ride on the lower part of the cam, and allowing the drum to slide over the bearings. Unfortunately, the rebuild wasn't a total success. It didn't shift properly, and had to be redone. The thrust washer needed to be replaced, too. But it's been in service now since the second rebuild with thousands of miles put on it.
