So I just read your post in it's entirety, cool story. I drove my Dads 3/4 ton GMC through High School(in California) and loved every minute of it. I had the only truck in a parking lot surrounded by Camaro's and Mustangs. I still love the look of a longbed (wood truck is what they call them in Ga).

You may be the only other guy I know who likes a Quadrajet, when they run they are outstanding, when their not it's just a brick...
