Rule of thumb for GAS engine driveshafts is 60" maximum ctr/ctr of bearing (U-joint or carrier) with a 3" or larger tube of .083 minimum wall thickness. This is for high RPM shafts (gas). Slower speeds can be made longer as can larger diameters but that puts you out of the 1310/1350 series joints in nearly all instances.
