There is a difference in how it sounds and there is a difference in the cost of dual exhaust pipes, mufflers, hangers, etc. But from a performance point of view? I agree with your decision. Single exhaust, working heat flap/spring, stock manifold and single carb. You might want to keep an eye open for a different carburetor, but that's up to you. Good luck.
