I don't recall a problem with Fan clearance, but I am thinking that a thin Spacer behind the fan would cure the problem. I will see if I can get some pictures scanned in of one of the set-ups I have done. The pulley set-ups that 4inthe Floor has were very common in the 60's as we were installing them on A/C conversions. My uncle Owned a company that manufactured those and plastic parts for under-dash A/C. Unfortuantly all the tooling is gone and I wanted to use a set-up like that on my 50'Chevy,so I will probably be building some of the lower pulleys very shortly.
By the way thats a nice looking 54'. I drove a 54' for more than 10 years and I guess I'll aways miss it.
