Mike, You are correct I posted a photo of the Carb. rod. I have corrected my previous post. I know a lot of changes were made on the 42 models which carried forward through 46. I do not recall seeing a 40 Chevy but I found this photo of the pedal & rod on the internet. This is claimed to fit 32-40. Does this look like your pedal? Harold
