As to the starter button. The shaft in one picture is fixed while in another picture, it shows a tab that the button shaft screws into. Any idea which one is correct for my 1940 Chevy 1/2 ton? I would think they all screwed on. it would be difficult to make this part as 1 piece plus it has to go through the toe board.
Also, your picture of the carb shows an accelerator rod connected to the carb linkage. Correct Where does the other end fasten? Connects to carb linkage and accelerated pedal I assume to the gas peddle but anywhere else? No
What does this rod look like? I do not recall seeing a 40 Chevy but I found this photo of the pedal & rod on the internet. . This is claimed to fit 32-40. Harold
