Isn’t the photo with the ruler of the rod that connects the carb to the pivot linkage just below the carb?
I believe there is a rod that connects this pivot to the accelerator peddle.

I do have the fork ball and spring that Holds the fork to the ball. Thanks

As to the starter linkage, I have 2. The first has a fixed shaft with the button screwing on The shaft and a second Where the shaft screws on and the button screws to the shaft.

The pictures posted show both type. The picture just showing the linkage has the fixed shaft where the one showing the bell housing shows the tab where the shaft screws into.
