Guys...I'm stumped. The delay circuit works fine, is infinitely adjustable but has distinct trouble with relays. I've tried using one relay to switch current to another relay. I've tried Bosch type relays by themselves. I've tried one Bosch type relay using both the NC and NO functions (which aside from the trouble with the relay signal from the delay circuit actually will work).
Here's the dilemma:
1. some relays (like the Bosch type) will pull down but only very briefly (fraction of a second)...not enough to make the motor start and to to the park circuit.
2. some relays (including the Bosch type) will pull down for an extended period of time but will not work (will only chatter) if the 12v time pulsed voltage is shared with the relay.
3. isolating the relays hasn't seemed to help. In fact, none of the isolation has seemed to help.
Using a relay to send current to a Bosch style relay which gets its switching voltage from a dedicated + wire will work...however only at a fairly fast intermittent rate. Otherwise it works but of course the wipers continue to work in low speed until the relay finally releases.
Ideas? Thoughts? Naturally the output voltage/current have to be strong enough. They're not at this point. I should also mention this isn't on a temp breadboard. I went ahead and soldered it all nicely so there'd be no loss due to temporary connections.
