Another data point ........here’s a ‘50 GMC 1/2t with 4 speed torque tube and the dual power master cylinder mounted to the factory brackets. Ran for several years with no rear cross member. Pic shows partial install of an aftermarket cross member. Done as project not to solve any issues.
