U-Haul will default to C.Y.A. mode at the slightest hint of a problem. They tried to back out of a 5X8 foot box trailer rental one time when one turn signal failed to operate- - - - -worked on the tow vehicle but not on the trailer! Who knew that the car I was driving had separate fuses for all the trailer connector circuits? After half an hour of me reading the owner's manual and tracing wiring, they finally let me pull off the lot with all the signals working!
