It's a pretty sick feeling, watching your trailered boat pull your truck backwards down the boat ramp, and hoping the tires can get a bite before the bed goes underwater. I had a square tube hitch receiver mounted to the front bumper of my Class A motorhome for two reasons- - - -first to be able to back the trailer down boat ramps and see where it was going, and secondly, to keep the drive wheels on a dry part of the ramp. I got a lot of double takes while pushing my boat from the campsite to the launch ramp!
