Why not build a plexiglass tranny cover so you can show it off? A friend of mine did that with the bed on his '37 GMC pick up so he could show off his chromed rear axle,springs and driveline,and "baby's butt-smooth" gloss black frame. Looked great-he even wired it with lights so it sparkled at night. Made the truck sorta-uh-useless,though.
