Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Apr 2011 Posts: 56 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Apr 2011 Posts: 56 | kevinski, thankyou for reply. my truck is 1952 gmc bought in las angeles. i have all the paper for truck sense new. you right it was 228 and i had a cracked bloak my fault as well. made me sick.so started to look for a 228 before i found one i got busy for years . last year i turned 70 and thought if i dont do it now i may not get a chance. so got lucky found a 235 and went with it. had it rebuilt and went to install it found it 1.5 inches to short. this is when i found about usa gmc model trucks verses chev. i should have researched it more. got smart and found this forum which has been si much help form all you folks. trucks runs great drives nice im very happy. but i still want manual choke and throttle cable plus ability to use oil bath. mean while ill install manual choke kit gord suggested.im still looking for a 228 if i find a good one ill start over. just a matter of switching. | | |
