hello everyone finally got truck going im excited and love it. my 228 came out and a 235 went in. 228 was cracked. the 235 came complete out of 56 chev and had all rebuilt. went to put original carb on and doesnt fit . so used 235 carb. i want to install my old carb as then i have manual choke and throttle hooked back up.but carb hold down studs holes are closer together. has any figured out a method
i also have a exhuast and intake from a 235 truck motor from early 50 not sure what year but it has same spread on carb hold down studs as 56.will my old intake fir the head on my 1956 head. any help or ideas would be so appreciated, your truly, mike
